General Recommendation
As a Xero Gold Champion Partner, we obviously recommend you start using Xero software to maintain your accounting records, as well as meet STP requirements. We believe it’s the most efficient software available, our staff are Xero specialists so you’ll get the best support, and we are able to pass on our partner discount to you. In addition, the use of accounting software may well reduce your tax agent fees thanks to efficiency gains.
I don’t want to change or upgrade my software
You may not want to start using software or change your non-compliant software, but inevitably, the process is a digital one and will require the use of some STP compliant software.
I have 1-4 employees only
There are many low-cost alternatives available that cost no more than $10 per month. Xero is one of these options, but there are many others to explore, such as GovReports.
I have more than 4 employees
There are some options available that will cater to you, however the majority are aimed at those with 4 or less employees. GovReports seems to be one of the most cost effective solutions available. We note however that we have no affiliation or partnership with this software provider and can’t assure the effectiveness of their product. Generally, if you have more than 4 employees, we do recommend you use an accounting software package.
